Overview

Autostolz Heavy Cut Pad & Compound Kit combines high-cut foam pads with heavy compound for machine correction of sanding marks, oxidation, wash marring and heavy swirl marks.

Kit contents

• 4 high-cut foam pads, 145 x 30mm
• For 125mm (5-inch) backing plates
• 500ml Autostolz Heavy Compound

Machine-polishing process

Wash and decontaminate the paint, then work on a cool panel in shade. Centre a fresh pad on the 125mm backing plate, apply the included polish or compound evenly and establish the combination on a small test section before completing the vehicle. Use several pads around a vehicle so loaded or warm pads can be exchanged rather than overworked.

Clean pads during the job and wash them thoroughly after use. Keep the machine moving, follow the polisher and chemical directions, and use the least aggressive combination that achieves the required correction.
